PASTORS

Ministry can be exhilarating and it can be exhausting. On the one hand, you get to see the amazing work of God in the lives of the people you serve. You see lives transformed by the power and grace of Jesus Christ; faith renewed, broken lives healed, people made whole.

On the other hand, you are responsible for the spiritual formation of an entire congregation as you pour yourself out spiritually, relationally, emotionally and physically. You serve your spouse and your family. You mentor, counsel, pray, console and congratulate. And as Paul said: “Besides everything else, I face daily the pressure of my concern for all the churches” (2 Corinthians 11:28). You face daily the pressure of concern for your church, the responsibility is with you 24/7.

No one understands the challenges of ministry unless they’ve walked in your shoes. I’ve worn your shoes. I understand. I’m available to listen, encourage, help or coach. We need to be there for each other. I’d love to come along side you and help in any way I can.

Consider this:

Do you have margin in your life – you know, space to breathe?

How would your wife answer that?

How are things at home?

How are you doing – really?
